DCMS Rural Gigabit Connectivity Programme

The Gigabit Voucher scheme operated by DCMS offers vouchers towards the cost of installing gigabit-capable connections worth up to £3,500 for a business premise and £1,500 for a residential premise.  Oxfordshire’s Digital Infrastructure programme successfully bid for £1m of top-up funding from the MHCLG Getting Building Fund, via the Oxfordshire LEP.  This scheme now offers up to £7,000 per premise, irrespective of it being a business or residential address.

For reference, our programme is currently also working with DCMS on a related initiative known as the Rural Gigabit Connectivity (RGC) hub site project which utilises DCMS funding to build gigabit capable infrastructure to buildings in rural parts of Oxfordshire which provide a public service. These can be public sector owned buildings, or a range of other types such as community centres, village halls, schools, etc.  Enquiries may be made to our mailbox broadband@oxfordshire.gov.uk
