DCMS Rural Gigabit Connectivity Programme

DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media, & Sport) has funding available for a programme aimed at installing full-fibre connectivity in buildings (known as hub sites) which provide a public service.  This can be public sector owned buildings, or a range of other types such as community centres, village halls, schools, etc.  This is augmented with the Rural Gigabit Voucher scheme which enables clusters of business or residential properties near the targeted hub sites, to apply to DCMS for vouchers for funding the installation of full-fibre broadband.  These vouchers are currently worth up to £7000 for both residential and business premises. We are currently in the process of applying for funding to connect over 100 buildings with full-fibre.  If successful, this will lead to approximately 3,000 premises being connected.
