The city of Oxford currently has just 0.6% of premises able to receive full fibre broadband. This contrasts with Oxfordshire, which as a whole county has some 14% of premises served with full fibre, representing a significant anomaly in that metropolitan areas are typically much better served with digital infrastructure than the rural outskirts.
We are planning a way forward to secure investment into building gigabit-capable infrastructure for the whole of Oxford city, including the means of creating connected IoT infrastructure enabling Oxford to be a truly Smart City.
