Our Partners
Digital Infrastructure Partnership
Oxfordshire County Council has formed a Digital Infrastructure Partnership with the District Councils, City Council, and the Oxfordshire Local Enterprise Partnership (OxLEP). The aim of this partnership is to provide a consistent awareness of all digital infrastructure works across the tiers of local government in Oxfordshire. Furthermore, the partnership is able to provide practical support for assisting in the rollout of digital infrastructure by commercial suppliers by coordinating planning permission, providing access to public sector land and assets, and streamlining the wayleave and planning notification processes.
The partnership, all members of which have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), enables a collaborative, county-wide approach to assisting operational delivery. Each council within the partnership plays an important role, and this collective approach allows for a strategic view of the challenges and opportunities arising from the expansion of gigabit-capable fixed networks and 5G mobile networks across the county.
